How It Works

The Over the Top Swap event provides a easy and affordable way for you to de-clutter your closet and exchange your previously loved clothing for “swap tokens”. You can use these tokens to “buy” any items you like from the swap. Once you choose your clothes, register  online for one of our early drop-off events. These events will be hosted at select Budget Car and Truck rental   locations   throughout Edmonton.  On the day of the early drop-off event you registered for,  bring  down your items and have them checked in by one of our friendly staff members. You’ll receive your swap tokens, your wrist band, and a pamphlet outlining the event schedule. Now you’re set, all you need to do now is to show up on the day of the event with your swap tokens and wrist band, eager and ready to swap ’till you drop. 

Preparing for the swap in 12 easy steps

1. Go through your wardrobe and choose 6-12 of your best pre-loved clothing items and accessories
2. Make sure clothing is freshly laundered, cleaned and ready to swap
3. Hang all clothing on a donatable hanger
4. Register for early drop off and choose a date and location that works for you
5. Drop off  your clothes early by visiting us at one of our early drop-off locations around the city
6. Have your clothing evaluated by one of our friendly helpers
7. Collect your swap tokens in exchange for your garments
8. Come to Telus Field on the day of the event and shop through thousands of great items
9. Go on a swapping spree! Try on anything you like – if it fits and you love it, keep it!
10. “Buy” items from the swap with your swap tokens
11. Indulge in a pampering spa service or cruise throught the marketplace
12. Go home with a new wardrobe feeling revived an renewed
