Spring is the season of inspiration and renewal. It’s the perfect time to de-clutter and start fresh.

The Over the Top Swap is Edmonton’s only city-wide premium clothing swap for women and men. Event goers “swap” no longer needed, but still fashionable, clothing and accessories for swap tokens. These swap tokens are then used to “buy” anything from the swap, without spending any money on clothing. You’ll be able to find one-of-kind clothing gems and feel the rush of a shopping spree; all the while going easy on your wallet. It’s one of the more affordable ways to upgrade your wardrobe. More than a swap, the event will feature a bustling marketplace, Find unique accessories or one-of-a-kind gifts from innovative and creative artisans and businesses. Feeling great is all a part of the “over the top” experience. On-site health, wellness and beauty services will be available, so you can relax and rejuvenate by indulging in a variety of beauty and spa treatments.

This year we are taking the event to a whole new level, with features and improvements to make the swap process as easy, efficient and fun as possible. Getting those clothes from your closet and onto the racks will be easier than ever.

Clothing swap open to Men and Women

Edmonton’s only city-wide clothing swap

The Over the Top Swap is Edmonton’s only city wide premium clothing swap for men and woman. Our premier event was hosted on May 29th, 2010, at the Winspear Centre and was a swapping success with over 750 fun-loving and fashionable people coming out to swap, shop, and spa. It was amazing! We’re now ready to do it all over again, with new ideas and fabulous features.

New “Over the Top” Venue

Event hosted at Telus Field in the Cocncourse, Club House and Executive Box seating areas.

The Spring 2011 the event will be hosted at Telus field, in the concourse, club house and executive box seating areas. This grand venue is more glamorous than you might expect since it’s newly renovated, offering plenty of room to group each activity in their own areas. The long concourse will feature the main swap events and marketplace, while the club house will feature the Gold Swap. The Club House is complete with a bar, granite counter tops and slate flooring. Sunshine pours into the space with a grand view of the baseball field. In addition, there are 24 Executive box seats that will feature the health, wellness and beauty treatment parlors and other delights.

You’ll be rewarded with gold, silver or bronze swap tokens for each fashionable item based on quality, condition and fashion relevance. With swap tokens in hand, you’ll be released into the swap with the freedom to” buy” anything you like using your swap tokens. Try on everything you want and keep what you like.

Renew and revive with a spa treatment

In between swaps, get a make-over, take in a beauty treatment or experience a relaxing massage. The event will feature a wide range of on-site health and beauty professionals for your pampering pleasure. M.C. College will be on-site offering free hair, make-up and esthetics services to everyone.

Clothing Donation

All the remaining clothing from the swap will be donated to the Canadian Diabetes Association and the Bissell Centre to support those in need. Donation bins will be available on site to collect your unswappable items for these worthy charities.
