Dropping off your clothing early gives our staff the opportunity to sort, group and evaluate your clothing properly, helping make it a much more enjoyable experience for everyone on the day of the event.

Day of Event Clothing Check In

If you cannot make it to one of the early drop-off events, don’t worry.  We will have check-in available on the day of the event.

Saturday

Clothing check-in from: 10:00 a.m. -  5:00 p.m.

Sunday

Clothing check-in from: 11:00 a.m. -  2:00 p.m.

This years event is being hosted in one of Edmonton’s most unique sporting and event venues, it’s the perfect place to host this “Over the Top” event. There’s over 24,000 square feet of space spanning two open floors with 100 foot vaulted ceilings. A long curved concourse sets the stage for the swap. Other areas include: a modern club house with a full bar, 24 box seats, and even private outdoor BBQ area. It’s going to be spectacular venue transformation!

Telus field is perfect for the Over the Top Fashion Swap, it features a variety of indoor spaces that we will use to create the hustle and bustle of a marketplace.  The event will take place in the Concourse, Club House, Private BBQ and VIP Box Seating Areas (not on the baseball field).

The timing of everything needed to be perfect for everything to work. As we pursued the date, made our calls it soon felt like the timing wasn’t quite right.  We both listened to our intuition and knew deep down that the Over the Top Fashion Swap was meant to be once a year, in the beginning of spring! Spring cleaning and swapping go hand in hand. Empty your closet, make room for new, swap out the nice garments you don’t wear, or donate anything you just don’t need. Revive, refresh and renew.  This realization was made clear after we had a chance to reflect on it.

We didn’t want to rush into anything that might be not perfect in every aspect. Having made this decision we are super excited for the spring event and have a ton of great new ideas.  It ‘s going to be truly Over the Top!

The Over the Top Fashion Swap is as much about the social experience as it is in getting a great new wardrobe. It’s about feeling great, unloading your clothing baggage and transforming them into clothing treasures. It feels good,you look good.

Think of it this way, you’ll  have that much more time to go through your closets, plus the weather will be better. We intend on coming out to a central location for early drop off. We’ll be out weeks before the to  make it easy for you to drop off your clothing in advance. In return you will receive your swap tokens in advance. That means all you need to do is show up on the day of the event, enjoy the services, shop, and have a great time. We know this will truly be a much more enjoyable process. We’ll have time to sort and group the clothing in advance. This will make the clothing that much easier to find.

We hope that in the meantime you’ll all be digging deep into those wardrobes, keeping what you like and separating clothes you love but seem to never wear. Those are perfect for swapping since they are usually in great condition. Don’t forget handbags and accessories, too.If you’d like to get started sorting your closet you can find out what to bring. If you bring gold, you will be treated like gold. It is that simple. Shop crowd-free at your leisure, for countless designer brands and accessories.

Looking and feeling like gold has never been so easy.  All you have to do to experience ‘The Gold Experience’ is bring gold.

How do I get in?

Swappers who have at least three gold swap tokens will be given the opportunity to enter “The Gold Experience”.

There will be a staggered entry to those who have two gold, one gold, and then the section will be open to everyone

You’ll receive bronze, silver and gold tokens for yoru items based on quality, condition and uniqueness. So choose wisely. We’ll accept 6-12 items for the swap.

We will be accepting accessories such as purses, belts, sun glasses and hats. We will not be accepting shoes however… save them for another swap.

You can drop your clothing off at the 102 street entrance between 3pm-9pm. You’ll even get a $2 ticket discount for coming early.

Don’t forget, while decluttering your closet pull out any “unswappable” items that you don’t need and donate them. We’re on a mission to generate 10,000 pounds of clothing for the Canadian Diabetes Association and Bissell Centre. That’s about 200 bags of clothes to support those in need.

On Saturday the Swap times are:

First Swap: 12pm-3pm

Second Swap: 5pm-8pm

Come early to soak up all of the other event activities: Workshops, Marketplace, Fashion Show and more.
